ATMA Certificate in SMSF Audit

ATMA Members & Fellows who hold an ATMA Public Practice Certificate are approved persons to undertake audits of Self Managed Super Funds (SMSF’s). 

There are very specific ATO requirements for the carrying out of these audits and the subsequent issue of the audit report.  The ATO intends to focus more on SIS compliance & contribution compliance in the 2009 year. 

The ATMA SMSF Audit Workshops are a full day course.  The course now contains detailed guidance on audit procedures and techniques, including the ATMA Audit Checklist, and practical examples will be studied. All relevant ATO pronouncements and Auditing Standards will be covered along with professional requirements, auditor independence etc. 

All attendees will receive a certificate of completion of the ATMA SMSF Audit Workshop. 

PLEASE NOTE: It is now a requirement of the Professional Bodies that all members conducting SMSF Audits hold a Public Practice Certificate, comply with all the conditions of the Professional Body issuing the PPC, hold PI Insurance, and that they complete an approved SMSF Audit Workshop prior to undertaking and SMSF Audits.
